The violent eruption of Fuego and the tragic loss of life that soon followed is hard to fathom.  The rapid transformation of the smoking volcano from a traveler’s snapshot to an agent of death is yet another reminder of the powerful forces that shaped land and people.

Our hearts break for the people of El Rodeo and the surrounding villages who lost their lives, their loved ones, their homes or were injured.
